Why we work with small businesses, when most agencies prefer to focus on larger groups.

At EMEX, we have a bit of a secret sauce going on.

Cory's had over 25 years of Insurance experience with employers, individuals, families, and Medicare folks.  Courtney's had over 25 years of filling the utility role in small to medium-sized businesses.

We just get it.

We run a small business and have been surrounded by all the challenges, obstacles and opportunities that all small businesses go through.

Technology is fantastic, but it needs to be paired with a real person to count on.

Ensuring that our clients, big and small, have the tools to manage it easily, while remaining in compliance is paramount for us. However, at the same time, we ensure that owners, employees, and individuals know they can contact us for help directly.

Each business we work with knows to have their employees call us if they have questions. We don’t expect them to have the answers and we ultimately fill that role for them.

EMEX Benefit Systems knows how expensive, complex, and truly annoying insurance can be to most people and businesses.

It is a necessity, but few people actually enjoy dealing with it. Call us crazy, but we are those people. Most people truly don’t understand how their insurance works. We don’t blame them; it is complex and confusing. Nothing is more important than ensuring that businesses, their employees, and individuals seeking our help feel comfortable and are truly covered for their unique situation.

When someone decides to make a call to us, they get us.

Our years of experience, our years of connections, our knowledge to handle any situations that may arise....and they pay us $0. Most people don't understand that using the services of an agency or broker costs them nothing. Many continue to go to the carriers themselves to select plans and put their package together. They do this at the same cost they would experience when adding a level of expertise and advocacy that a great agency or broker can provide.

Using an EMEX Benefit Systems associate does NOT cost any more than going to a carrier direct.

However, it will save you time and provide you with confidence that you have made the right choices and have great systems in place to manage it all.

We are your advocate with carriers - we work for you.

We are the people your employees call.

We are insurance problem solvers, and our job is to find you the best solutions that fit your needs and budget.

Why should a small business consider implementing group benefits?

Recruiting:

Hiring qualified employees while our nation struggles to recover from the coronavirus pandemic is “the top concern” of US employers. A comprehensive benefit package will position a business to land attractive/talented employees.  46% of adults said, “benefits were the deciding factor when choosing their current position.”
Responses were gathered Jan. 25-28 from 1,000 U.S. adults receiving health care through their workplace

Retention:

A survey released by America’s Health Insurance Plans found that 71% of American workers indicated benefits are the primary reason they remain working in their current position. Offering insurance products to your employees shows you’re investing in their health and financial wellbeing.

Tax advantages:

Generally speaking, any expenses an employer incurs related to insurance (for employees or dependents) are 100% tax-deductible as ordinary business expenses, on both state and federal income taxes. Employees are allowed to pay many plan contributions pretax; via payroll deduction, reducing taxable income and substantially reducing their net insurance premium costs.

Productivity:

Research shows that employee health status directly influences work behavior, attendance and on-the-job performance. Healthy = Productive.

Trust:

Employers are always looking for ethical employees with integrity, intelligence and ambition. These people normally have families they work hard to support, provide for and love. Providing coverage options shows these people you’re invested them in their family.

We can make a difference for hard working businesses in these
& many other industries:

  • Construction
  • Manufacturing
  • Industrial
  • Transportation & Trucking
  • Healthcare
  • Printing
  • Hospitality
  • Retail
  • Agriculture & Food
  • Professional Services

We will give you the tools and training to operate like a large HR Department,
especially if you don't have one.

Managing employee and benefit information doesn't have to be hard!

We include in our package of services, via ease, a software platform that allows each employee to access:

  • Employees have direct access to all the ACA required postings along with a way to confirm they have been read.
  • Access to a listing of all their benefits and links to all the carrier websites, information on eligibility as well as functioning as a company document communication hub.
  • A complete benefit statement that shows their regular pay plus all statutory and employer paid and employee paid benefits. This allows employees to see their total pay check which helps employers communicate to employees their "real" paycheck.

  • Employers with 1-50 employees are considered small groups.
  • Company must have at least 1 full time W2'd non-owner employee, but this employee doesn’t have to participate.
  • The company must have a federal tax ID number.
